Mac Print Screen Function

I have only been a Mac person for about six weeks now. I know, how did it take me so long to get on this band wagon? Let's not go there. But let's say I am in a much happier place now. I have always been computer savvy, but there is a learning curve for me. As I was working on the portfolio section of the website today I realized I wanted to include a screen shot of my business website. I started looking around for the "print screen" key on the keyboard and realized that Mac's don't have one of these! For those of you who don't know, print screen allows you to take a snap shot of your active computer screen and save it as an image file. Turns out there are two different commands for this in Mac-land.

| Apple command key + Shift + 3| Holding these keys down simultaneously creates a picture of your entire desktop and saves it on your desktop.

| Apple command key + Shift + 4| When using this combination of keys a cropping tool will appear on screen and you can drag to select a certain area of the screen. This was very helpful as I only wanted to take a picture of the website and not all the toolbars shown on my screen.
